HEALTHY HABITS CHALLENGE!
Friend, YOU are invited to participate in Re’s 2025 healthy habits challenge! It is running from the start of January until the end of February. Why that long? Because even though people used to say that starting a new habit takes 21 days, many studies have shown that incorporating new habits to become part of our lifestyle tends to take much longer, more like 2 months at a minimum. Since, the goal of this challenge is to work on building self care into our lives as a part of our daily routines, we’re going to have to put in consistent effort over the longer haul.
Self-care is critical not only for our own mental, physical, and spiritual health, but also necessary in order to be able to serve others. There’s a reason the flight attendants tell you to put your oxygen on first before assisting others…if you’re passed out, you can’t help anyone. And although you might not be physically “passed out”, there’s a good chance we might all be running a little lean, especially after the holidays.
My goal is to offer up this opportunity if it feels meaningful and beneficial for YOU. If it is something that resonates with you, consider yourself invited! If it doesn’t, just let this one go. There’s no requirement to participate in any of it. Truly, the last thing we all need is a bunch of pressure to do anything… this is, in my heart and mind, an option if it works for and inspires you.
To start with, this challenge will be to complete 15 in-person classes (to earn a Re waterbottle) or 30 in-person classes (to earn a new Re sweatshirt) between now and the end of February because movement is critical to our health and well-being.
Do you know someone who might enjoy being a part of this too? INVITE THEM. INCLUDE THEM. Everybody’s in, baby! If you’ve been to Re a million times or none times, everyone is welcome to join in.
Since showing up is KEY to most things in life, you know if you finish the challenge I’ll be celebrating you with a Re waterbottle or a new Re sweatshirt. You can keep track any way you like, but in the end, you’ll turn in your calendar. I’m including a printable if you want a way to keep track, but you’re welcome to use any system that works for you. Once you complete the challenge, turn in or send me a picture of your printable (or whatever way you used to track it) so I can get you hooked up!
I am hopeful that this healthy habits challenge will be a cup-filler in many different ways because YOU matter and make this world an insanely better place.
We are the luckiest.
